Temporary Relocation of ROM and ROMM
The Registry of Marriages (ROM) and Registry of Muslim Marriages (ROMM) will be operating at a temporary office at the Ministry of National Development (MND) Building on Maxwell Road from 26 January 2010 to February 2011.

Relocation of Syariah Court and Tribunal for Maintenance of Parents
To provide better accessibility and to serve the public better, the Syariah Court and the Tribunal for Maintenance of Parents (TMP) will be moving to a new building in Lengkok Bahru. The Syariah Court will begin operations at the new premises on 21 December 2009 and the TMP will commence operations from 11 January 2010.

Enhancing Quality In The Child Care Sector
About 100 childcare teachers had received scholarships from MCYS this year to further their studies in the field. The ministry had set aside S$12.5 million for scholarships over the next five years to ensure that three in four childcare teachers hold at least a Diploma in Early Childhood and Care Education by 2013.

New subsidised dating packages for singles
Singles looking for love could look forward to new subsidised dating packages now available from the Social Development Network (SDN) - SDU-SDS. Speaking at the Partner Connection Trade Seminar, MOS (CYS), Yu Foo Yee Shoon, said: 'We do away with this stigma, so we call it SDN - Social Development Network. Network means you can go to our website for information and attend all our activities provided by the private networks.'

Launch of the Community Integration Fund
The National Integration Council has launched a $10 million fund over three years to provide co-funding of up to 80% of the total expenditure for projects that promote social integration. Organisations who wish to create more opportunities for locals and newcomers to meet and understand each other better, and who wish to kick-start projects to promote social integration can now apply for the fund. Singapore to Host Inaugural Youth Olympic Games in 2010
