Student Care Centres

Student Care Centres (SCCs) provide care and supervision to school-going children aged 7 (Primary 1) to 14 years (Secondary 2). It aims to supervise homework, play, enrichment and recreational activities for school-age children before or after school to enhance their wholesome development - physical, intellectual, emotional, social and moral development. SCCs reassure working parents that their school-going children are well cared for while they are at work.

SCCs usually open from:

spacer Monday - Friday: 7.30am or earlier to 6.30pm or later
Saturday: 7.30am or earlier to 1.30pm or later

Thinking of Setting Up A SCC?

SCCs are operated by Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs) or commercial operators. You do not require a licence to operate a SCC. However, if you are a VWO interested in setting up a SCC as a community service, please contact your Community Development Councils. If you are a private operator wishing to run a SCC , you may find this Guide on Setting up a SCC useful.
