Social Service Sector
Social and community services in Singapore offers various social and community services to build a strong community. These include children's homes, child care services, social services for youth and families as well as services for the elderly and disabled. The social and community sector employs more than 13,000 people ranging from professionals such as Social Workers, Therapists, Psychologists, Nurses, Special Education teachers, Childcare Teachers, to associate professionals such as Health Attendants and Nursing Aides. All are professionals with a passion for helping people in need. The sector invests heavily in training to meet the ever-changing demands of the community at large.
