| The Management Executive Scheme (Division I) |
|
The Management Executive Scheme (MXS) is a graduate scheme that is designed to enable officers to be well-positioned to help Singapore meet public administration challenges.
As a Management Executive Officer (MXO), you will work in key departments within the Ministry and enjoy clear and timely progression, performance-based pay and self-directed career development. You can look forward to job rotation to other areas of work to maximise your potential after serving a number of years in the current posting.
Promotion will be based on both your potential and work performance. You will also received the relevant training and development through courses conducted locally or overseas.

Entry Requirements/ Starting Salary
Candidates will need to have at least a pass degree from a recognised university. The starting salary will commensurate with qualification and relevant/useful working experience.
Fresh graduates will be appointed at Management Executive 13 with a gross monthly salary range from $1,737 to $3,204. Those who have completed full-time National Service or have relevant/useful working experience will be granted additional increments and be appointed at a higher salary point.

| The Management Support Scheme (Division I/II) |
The Management Support Scheme (MSS) is a scheme that recruits diploma holders for the various jobs in the Civil Service.
As a Management Support Officer (MSO), you will provide administrative support to the Management Executive Officers. This would involve implementing/ reviewing of policies, basic supervisory duties and other ad hoc projects that may be assigned.

Candidates will need to have a Polytechnic Diploma qualification. The starting salary will commensurate with qualification and relevant/useful working experience.
Fresh polytechnic graduates will be appointed at Management Support Officer Grade VI with a gross monthly salary range from $1,527 to $2,263. Those who have completed full-time National Service or have relevant/useful working experience will be granted additional increments and be appointed at a higher salary point.

| The Corporate Support Scheme
(Division II/III) |
The Corporate Support Scheme (CSS) is a scheme that recruits officers with GCE 'A'/ 'O'/ 'N' level or Certificate in Office Skills qualification for the various jobs in the Civil Service.
As a Corporate Support Officer (CSO), you will provide administrative support to the department that you are posted. You will be required to handle enquiries, perform special duties as assigned by the department and to assist in ad-hoc projects.
CSOs with outstanding performance and potential may be considered for promotion to the Management Support Scheme at the appropriate grade. |

| Allowances |

Institutional
Work Allowance
This allowance is applicable to officers working in Juvenile
Homes [MXOs/MSOs/Health Support Officers (HSOs)/CSOs]. The rate
of allowance ranges from $100 to $200 per month.

Social
Work Field Allowance
This allowance is applicable to officers holding social work
field positions. The rate of allowance is $150 per month.
|
 |
Counter
Allowance
This allowance is applicable to Division II, III or IV officer
who performs counter work at least 50% of the time and meet
specified service quality standards. The rate of allowance ranges
from $40 to $80 per month.

Night Duty Allowance
This allowance is applicable to Division I (ie. MXO Grade 12/13)
and Division II, III and IV officers who work in juvenile homes
and perform night duties on regular basis.
